Meet ImpaCT

When Roe v. Wade was overturned in June of 2022, a wave of disappointment and outrage led Jessica Mancini and Glori Norwitt to take action. They wanted to do more than just express their frustration—they wanted to create a movement. Teaming up with Erin Byrne and her marketing firm ThinkSisu, they launched ImpaCT, a platform for uniting like-minded individuals to learn about crucial issues and take meaningful action.

The inaugural event in August 2022 was a resounding success, drawing around 250 attendees to the Ridgefield Playhouse. The evening featured six powerful speakers on reproductive rights, gun control, women’s rights, and voting rights. The lobby was filled with “Action Tables” from 17 nonprofit organizations, where attendees could learn, volunteer, donate, and more.

With a critical election looming, the stakes couldn’t be higher. That motivated us to host a second event on September 30, 2024 to help you learn more and take the action that is right for you. This event promises to be even more impactful, with new speakers and action tables being added daily. Stay connected and follow our journey on Facebook and Instagram at ImpaCTmultiplying. Your voice and actions can make a difference—join us and be part of the change!

Progressives Organize an “Evening of Education & Action”
This September 30 at the Ridgefield Playhouse
Many people are feeling overwhelmed by the deterioration of reproductive
rights, the dangers of Project 2025, the upcoming critical election, and more.
That motivated ImpaCT to organize a local progressive event this September
30 at 6:00pm at the Ridgefield Playhouse, to help people learn more and take
action to fit their interests. This event will be impactful, covering important
issues such as immigration, housing, reproductive rights, civil rights, the
economy, and Project 2025. Attendees can make a difference!

Speakers are experts in their field: Amanda Skinner, President & CEO of
Planned Parenthood of Southern New England will speak on reproductive
rights. Sarah Fox, CEO of CT Coalition to End Homelessness, will speak on
housing. Dan Barrett, Legal Director of ACLU of CT, will speak on Project 2025.
Dan O’Keefe will speak about the economy. Maggie Mitchell Salem, Executive
Director of IRIS (Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services) will speak on
immigration. Karen DuBois-Walton, President of Elm City Communities, will
moderate the question & answer session.

“Action Tables” in the lobby will be filled with advocacy organizations allowing
attendees to learn more, sign up to volunteer, donate, and more. Thus far, the
Action Tables include: CT Against Gun Violence, Community Action Agency of
Western CT, The Reach Fund of CT, Ridgefield Pride, Bethel Pride, Apex
Community Care, Triangle Community Center, States United, ReSisters, The
Center for Empowerment & Education, Planned Parenthood Votes CT, Planned
Parenthood of Southern New England, Ridgefield DTC, IRIS, ACLU of CT Rise
PAC, and CT Coalition to End Homelessness. More Action Tables will be
announced soon on climate change, civil rights, and registering to vote. For more information and to purchase $15 tickets for the September 30, 2024
